A native of Pensacola, Pastor Larry Roper is the product of Faith Bible Theological Seminary where he received his Bachelors Degree in Religious Education and Theology. He is known for saying he is forever learning. Currently He is holds a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling, while pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Biblical Counseling from Andersonville Theological Seminary. While living in Miami FL, Pastor Roper heard the voice of God clearly compelling him to relinquish his role as a deacon and accept his call into the ministry of Preaching. He is known through his preaching, to challenge the mind and inspire the heart. Pastor Roper is a sought-after speaker for worship services, anniversaries, revivals and Christian and Marriage counseling.
While just a lad, his humble service in The House of God began as a Jr. Usher and choir singer. His servanthood attitude later advanced to serving as a Deacon, Trustee, Associate Minister, Pastor’s Helper and Assistant Pastor. In 2014, Rev. Roper became the Pastor of House of God Church Pensacola. Under his leadership, Great Faith in God and the need to strive for excellence is taught and exemplified daily. Currently, Pastor Roper has advanced to the level of State Elder in the House of God Church.
Pastor Roper is concerned about the souls of men, women and children. He emphasizes and openly prays that God will keep his hands on the youth of today and keep the hand of the enemy away. Multiple building enhancements have been accomplished under Pastor Roper’s leadership. He teaches and preaches Faith in God, the one who can do the impossible. He preaches and teaches to Trust in God no matter what it looks like, feels like, or what may even be real. His fixation is Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? .
Pastor Roper has been married to Lady Letitia Roper for the past 36 years. They have 4 children, two of which reside in Pensacola and are actively serving in various ministries in the church. Pastor and Lady Roper are the proud grandparents of six.
Pastor Roper is a General Contractor by profession. He has built, remodeled and renovated many houses and churches in Florida, Alabama & Georgia. Pastor Roper is gifted with his hands and enjoys fixing things
His Mission is to, “Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine”, II Timothy 4:2. Pastor Roper believes that all who serves the true and living God are like him desiring to hear God say, ”well done, good and faithful servant; thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the lord” Matthew 25:23.
